A bird flew into my life

On my way to the park this weekend I spotted a woman and her daughter staring at this beautiful blue parakeet. I stopped to inquire what the situation was with the bird. Apparently they found the bird lounging out on their fence. I mentioned that I use to have a parakeet and it died about a year ago, what's also strange is that I was looking into getting another bird but decided to hold off for a while, what luck. They didn't want to keep the bird and after a nice man helped me get the bird down from the tree, off I went with Hawk (the little parakeet that flew into my life)

  3. Cute little fella.

Did you know that some American cities have flocks of wild parrots and budgies? They're usually descended from pets who got away. Here in San Francisco, we have an entire flock of Cherry-Headed Conyers who live on Telgraph Hill. They're kind of like pigeons in that they're not exactly tame, but they don't seem all that afraid of people. I've gotten pretty close to a few of them.

Good luck with your new friend. He's lucky to have found a home.
