Where the streets are paved with gold and money grows on trees, America.

That's what I thought of the US when I was a young naive little girl living in Romania. America was the golden land, the land of opportunities where anything goes. Work hard and success was just around the corner. I'm sure many other immigrants thought the same when they decided to leave the hell hole they called home.
I captured part of the immigration rights rally last week on my way to the train station. My family and I also immigrated to the US, however, we came here legally and acquired US citizenship a few years later. That was a proud day for us, to feel like we were part of America. Also to be able to leave and come back at will. I sympathized with the people marching at the rally after all they just want what the rest of us all ready have, a better life.
