Life on hold

It’s been awhile since my last visit here though it seems like yesterday that I ran the half marathon. My assumption is that I’m getting old since time is flying by so quickly or maybe it’s due to the fact that I’ve been overwhelmed with things. I’m still in the process of closing on the apartment with an end in sight. In two weeks I will be the proud owner of the place and then the process of moving will take up a chunk of my time. I also have not been able to run since the half marathon due to an injury. At first I decided to ignore the pain and continued some light running which just aggravated the situation. Through physical therapy, anti-inflammatory and icing the healing is underway. My dog Zak, who is back in my life, is getting restless and agitate every time I put on my sneakers. Unfortunately, we only go for a leisurely walk in the neighborhood instead of the usual run in the park. I’m hoping in a few weeks to start my runs which not only will make me happy but also the little hunter.
